Amy Sholar - Alton, Illinois
Amy Sholar was born and raised in the Alton, Illinois area. She is currently 35 years old, divorced, with two young children. She attended high school at Alton High. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville and attended St. Louis University Law School, where she received her Juris Doctorate in 2001. She has been licensed to practice in the State of Illinois since 2002.
During law school, she worked for the Madison County State's Attorney's Office and, after law school, went to work for the City of Alton, handling real estate and municipal matters.
She opened her solo practice in July of 2004, and since that time has been operating a general practice of law, focusing mainly on criminal defense and family law. She also serves as a Madison County special public defender and as president of the Alton-Wood River Bar Association. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association in both its real estate and family divisions.
Amy's goal as an attorney is to provide superior representation for the client with personal attention.
